Overview

Located along the Eastern Arapahoe Road corridor, Weathervane offers Boulder residents affordable highly efficient workforce housing solutions. The proposed mixed-use, mixed-income neighborhood is built on the principles of environmental sustainability, resilience, social equity and mobility. Occupying a 15-acre site and 10 buildings, Weathervane is born from the region’s agricultural history. The agrarian themed site design is simple in form and uses warm robust materials like wood and steel to create inviting social gathering spaces that support a strong community connection. The landscape is rich with textures and colors of the region’s native plant palette that stitches the development into the adjacent Boulder Creek riparian corridor. A large community garden anchors the site while offering incredible vistas to Boulder’s front range. A variety of amenity spaces with outdoor grilling, gaming, structured shade, elegant lighting, tables, and informal seating are nestled throughout the site. Residents are provided with convenient access to numerous beloved attractions in Boulder through direct connections to the 5 mile Boulder Creek Path.
