Flow Design Collaborative is growing our team of creative thinkers, problem-solvers, and storytellers and we are looking to add a Senior Landscape Architect with 8+ years of experience.  We are interested in passionate, self-motivated individuals who are excited about an opportunity to play a key role in a small firm setting.  Flow Design Collaborative took root in 2017 with a mission to affect positive social and environmental change through creative design. Position Description

Our ideal candidate is someone with strong design leadership and communication skills, is energetic and knowledgeable about the latest design trends, related technologies, and knowledge of the market. They should excel in project management, creative problem-solving, and effective communication, both written and verbal. Strong technical design and specification skills along with a proficiency in construction administration is essential, as is the ability to handle diverse and complex responsibilities throughout all project phases. Additionally, candidates should bring a unique knowledge base and a passion for building systems and efficiencies to enhance work quality.

Primary Responsibilities

• Project Management: Direct and independently manage medium to large complex projects from inception to completion, ensuring high-quality deliverables, budget adherence, and timely execution
• Design Expertise: Demonstrate exceptional design skills and a comprehensive understanding of landscape architecture principles, ensuring a culture of collaboration and inclusivity in the design process.
• Team Mentorship: Foster and advance the professional growth of the firm through creating challenging and inspiring environments, cultivating a collective commitment to design excellence.
• Communication Skills: Demonstrate exceptional communication skills in conveying design concepts, presenting proposals, and engaging with stakeholders.
• Client Engagement: Develop and maintain strong client relationships.
• Professional Growth & Development: Assume responsibility for actively monitoring industry trends, emerging progressive technologies, and sustainable practices, seamlessly integrating them into design approaches.

Required Experience & Skills

• Candidate’s work experience should demonstrate appropriate level of responsibility, leadership skills, cultivation of client relationships, superior customer service and excellent written and graphic communication skills.
• Licensed as a Landscape Architect in Colorado or ability to obtain a reciprocal license.
• 8+ years working as a landscape architect.
• Computer software proficiency to include Autocad, Adobe Creative Suite, Sketchup and MS Office.
• Creative design abilities.
• Excellent problem solving and critical thinking.

Preferred Skills and Experience

• Familiarity with Lumion, Revit or other related software platforms.
• Local plant knowledge.
• Green infrastructure experience/knowledge.
